Welcome to Benji's Buddies, where every walk is designed with care, trust, and understanding.
I'm Clara, the owner and walker behind Benji's Buddies and this is Benji, my rescue dog and the heart of it all. Benji spent a lot of time with me while I worked in a busy dog daycare. While that environment was full of energy and excitement, I realised it wasn't quite right for him. He was happiest in smaller groups and calmer settings, and that experience inspired me to create something different.
At Benji's Buddies, I focus on providing individual and small-group walks that give dogs the chance to enjoy the outdoors in a safe, relaxed, and positive way. Every walk is tailored to suit each dog's personality, energy level, and comfort, because no two dogs are the same.
My Experience
My journey with dogs began in February 2019, when I started working at one of London's largest dog daycares. It was there that I truly discovered my passion for canine care , learning how to manage dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and energy levels.
I became Manager in March 2020, overseeing daily operations and ensuring every dog enjoyed a safe and happy environment. That experience taught me not only about dog behaviour and welfare, but also about the importance of understanding each dog as an individual.
In June 2021, I decided to take the leap and start my own dog walking business, building something more personal and tailored to the kind of care I believe every dog deserves. Since then, I've had the privilege of working with dogs in London, Hamburg, and now Edinburgh, continuing to learn and grow with every dog that I meet.
Every experience has shaped the way I work today — calm, patient, and committed to giving every dog the best care possible.
